A software company built on delivery, not promises.
Headquartered in Shanghai, Tensorplume provides software development and outsourcing services to clients across elderly care, government, aviation and enterprise services. We build and run engineering teams that deliver systems designed to keep running for years, not just an acceptance document.
Not the biggest,
but every delivery counts.
We are a software services company with a clear remit. Like the large outsourcing firms, we cover the full chain from requirements and system design through development, testing and operations. Unlike them, we are smaller, we decide faster, and the founding team is personally involved in the technical calls on every major project.
Shanghai is our headquarters, handling client relationships, architecture and project management. Our Hangzhou delivery centre carries the bulk of the engineering capacity. Both sites work to the same process and the same coding standards, with working hours that overlap yours completely.
The team is now more than 120 engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps and data. We hire slowly and keep people for a long time, because a client system only stays stable if someone is willing to look after it year after year.
How we define
a delivery done right.
Values are not words for the wall. These four decide which projects we take on, how we schedule them, and what we give up first when things get tight.
We believe good software is not something you "outsource". It is built by a team that genuinely cares about the outcome. Our mission is to give every company access to a team like that.
Outcome first
We are accountable for going live and staying stable, not just for hours booked.
Senior at the core
Every team has a technical lead with 7+ years of experience.
Fully transparent
Code, boards and costs are completely open to the client.
Built for the long term
We measure ourselves by whether clients renew in year two.
Six commitments written into every contract.
Not verbal assurances. Whether you take one engineer or hand over a whole project, these are our default terms.
A shortlist within 5 working days
Once the brief is clear, you receive a shortlist of candidates who have passed three rounds of technical vetting, with test results and project history.
Free replacement within two weeks
If someone is not the right fit, we replace them within two weeks at no extra cost and handle the handover ourselves.
No billing for bench time
You pay only for hours actually worked. Gaps between assignments, leave and internal training never appear on an invoice.
Monthly capacity and progress reports
A written report every month covering people, completed work, risks and next month's plan, with costs itemised line by line.
Code and boards fully open
From day one, the repositories, task boards and documentation are open to you, so progress is visible at any time.
Support after go-live
Delivery is not the finish line. We provide operations support and knowledge transfer until your own team can take over.
Who we hire decides
what we deliver.
Our offer rate has stayed in the single digits for years: CV screening, an online coding test and a senior-engineer interview, all three passed, before anyone joins the talent pool. A stack can be learned; engineering habits rarely change, so we weigh the habits more heavily.
Every new joiner gets one-to-one guidance from a named technical lead, and code review covers every single merge request. Mentoring time is written into the senior engineers' schedule rather than squeezed in whenever they happen to be free.
Figures as of 2026.
Your code and your data
belong to you alone.
Confidentiality and ownership are the two questions every outsourcing client asks first. Our answers are fixed in the contract and enforced in daily practice.
-
IP belongs to the clientAll code, documents and designs produced on a project are the client's intellectual property, stated in the contract and handed over in full at delivery.
-
NDAs cover every individualA company-level NDA plus an individual agreement for every team member, with access revoked and equipment cleared when someone leaves the project.
-
Work inside your environmentOn request we work in your repositories, cloud accounts and office network, so source code and data never leave your boundary.
-
Least privilege and masked dataAccess is granted per role at the minimum needed; development and test environments use masked data, and production access requires your approval.
-
Security built into the processDependency scanning, code review and security checks are fixed steps in the release process, not an afterthought.
